Radiesse can correct years of smoking, smiling and worrying. If you want to find the old you and recreate your youth then Radiesse a non surgical, non permanent implant is the ideal solution.

How is treatment performed?
Local anaesthetic cream is applied on area so discomfort is minimal. A dental block can also be administered to provide further anaesthesia.
Injections are placed in dermis and aims to provide structure to face.

How does Radiesse work?

After injection the spherical calcium hydroxyapatite particles from a "scaffold" and this results in your own tissue forming a fibrous layer to create further bulk.

Is it safe?
Yes, Because Radiesse is bio- compatible no patch test is needed. Also the consistency of Radiesse is a cream like product that feels soft and natural. Radiesse contains calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) as well as calcium and phosphate ions, which occur naturally in human tissue.
This product has been tested in clinical trials for 7 years with impressive safety and efficacy results.

Will I need a skin test?

The gel carrier dissolves in a few months and the structural microspheres are broken down by the body naturally. Radiesse lasts two years, however there may be some variability depending on your age, lifestyle and expectations.

How long does it take to work?
Results are immediate.

What are side - effects?
Very occasionally can experience swelling, redness for first 24- 48 hours. Rarely discolouration and tenderness may occur.

Is Radiesse approved?
Yes, Radiesse is fully approved for facial augmentation with CE mark certification and a number of USA FDA clearances.

What do I do when I go home after the treatment?
Around 24 hours after treatment most swelling and redness has settled down and you can resume normal activities. Indeed some clients can return to work immediately after treatment.
Applying ice or a cold compress to the treated area for 24 hours can reduce swelling and redness. Any discomfort for the first 24 hours can be controlled with analgesics e.g. Panadol. If nodules are felt these settle quickly with massage.

Restylane contains non animal hyaluronic acid, which is so safe that no patch test is necessary. One of the most recognised and tried and tested fillers that have been in widespread use since 1996.

As we age we produce less hyaluronic acid and thus skin looses its elasticity and radiance. Restylane replaces that hyaluronic acid which adds volume and plumpness to the area being treated to erase fine lines and wrinkles.

What does treatment do?

The Restylane injections of gel when injected into skin in very fine amounts works to plump out line in order to smooth it out.

What happens during treatment process?
A local anaesthetic gel is placed on the skin of area to be treated. Also a local anaesthetic injection can be given to ensure a painless procedure.

What are the side effects?
Most people will experience redness, swelling at area for 24- 48 hours. Thus if planning a major occasion within that time I would advise postpone to more suitable time. Bruising can also occur this is rare and typically lasts up to 1 week however this can be covered with make - up by and large.
1 in 2000 clients may experience redness, breaks in skin, acne like spots, which last up to 2 weeks, but are not permanent.

Who is not suitable for treatment?

Clients who have had recent skin peel or laser resurfacing. Also those who suffer lupus autoimmune conditions, clients on warfarin. A thorough medical history is taken before the procedure.

How long does the treatment last?
Up to six to nine months. This is variable and depends on factors such as lifestyle, age and your expectations of treatment. Also Lip treatments tend to last shorter period of time 6 months.
